Location
Easy to find with Sat Nav but as you get close there are club signs.

Welcome
Shop is well stocked and the staff were helpful and chatty – it’s not difficult to be friendly.

Practice Facilities
Driving range with 4 bays and close to the club house. Decent short game area and putting green reflected the course greens. Has a net for those rushing to the first tee!

Club House
Spike bar which was great to see with a selection of food available. Dress code was relaxed (collar and tie preferred in Restaurant) and the Members were chatty.

Course
It’s a pretty looking course with trees and heather, but the greens although true were very slow when we played in July which was a real shame. Members prefer them a bit quicker as well so maybe caught them on a bad day!

Stuffiness
Visitors made to feel welcome club has a bit of tradition and we like that at Inside Golf

Would You Play Again?
Second time of playing. I won’t rush back but glad I have played it.

Final Thoughts
Second time playing and looked forward to playing it, 2 courses The Heath from 6300 of white to 5700 of the Reds is a good test with some excellent golf holes with several risk and reward decisions to make – I like that in my golf. Play the 17th and you will understand a dog leg of a hole and depending on line off the tee can make a difference of between 6 clubs for your second shot! Fun to play and the experience would have been complete if the greens had not been so slow. The 9 hole Forest course has a good reputation.
